Low Voltage AC Drives

AC drives are used to control the speed and torque of a standard induction motor, the workhorse of the industry.
AC drive technology extends the motor speed range from zero to high above the rated speed, increasing the productivity of the driven process. When a low capacity is enough, the drive reduces the machine speed and saves energy.

General machinery drives

ACS350 and ACS355 products from 0.37 to 22 kW / 0.5 to 30 hp supply voltage 200 - 480 V

ABB general machinery drives are designed for the machine building sector. In serial type manufacturing the consumed time per unit is critical. The drive is designed to be the fastest drive in terms of installation, setting parameters and commissioning. The basic product has been made as user-friendly as possible, yet providing high intelligence. The drive offers diverse functionality to cater for the most demanding needs.

Component drives

ACS55 and ACS150 products from 0.18 to 4 kW / 0.25 to 5 hp supply voltage 110 - 480 V

The ABB component drives are designed for machine building. It is a component that is bought, together with other components from a logistical distributor. The drive is stocked, and the number of options and variants is optimized for logistical distribution.

High performance machinery drive

ACSM1, 0.75 to 110 kW / 1 to 150 hp

ABB machinery drives provide high performance speed, torque and motion control for demanding machines. They can control induction, synchronous and asynchronous servo and high torque motors with various feedback devices. The compact hardware and programming fl exibility ensure the optimum solution. The innovative memory unit concept enables flexible drive configuration.

Medium Voltage AC Drives

ABB is a leading international supplier of medium voltage AC drives in the range of 315 kW to 100 MW.

Medium voltage AC drives from ABB are used to control the speed and torque of induction and synchronous machines where high powers are needed. By delivering precise process control through ABB's patented Direct Torque Control (DTC), our drives ensure the highest control accuracy without the use of an encoder, despite input power variations or sudden load changes.

ACS550 drive modules

With drives ranging from 1.0 to 500 HP (0.75 to 355 kW), ABB ACS550 series features an 'intuitively obvious' multi-lingual, full graphic display panel that also provides assistance to aid users in start-up, maintenance, and diagnostics. The control panel can be mounted on the cover of the drive, or remotely, and can upload, store, and download parameters. ABB ACS550 comes equipped with an extensive library of preprogrammed application macros that, at the touch of a button, allow rapid configuration of inputs, outputs, and parameters for specific applications to maximize convenience and minimize start-up time.
